REEEEEEEEEE DAO is a decentralized collective body committed to serve Polkadot Opengov. Our mission is to provide high-quality assessments on referenda to ensure outcomes that strengthen the Polkadot ecosystem. Each referendum is reviewed carefully by our DAO members through the scope of technical, strategic, and governance.

📋 Community Feedback

Our members are having difficulty understanding the practical basis of this proposal. Given the EU’s current trajectory toward increased regulation, it seems unlikely that legislation of this nature would be applied to an area generally regarded as highly unregulated, such as blockchain.
Additionally, while we understood that there is some form of monetary incentives and regulatory explanation/pathway to anticipate a shift of practice, the expectation of large industry players would provide access to their proprietary vehicle data to emerging vendor appears optimistic.
Overall, we are uncertain on how, under the EU’s regulatory framework, a highly unregulated system would be permitted to manage sensitive private and personal data.
