Hello @Polkadot friends VOTE NAY to referendum 144, we are currently going to pause the proposal, we noticed an unusual activity on our account regarding comments on YouTube videos, so we spoke to the marketing agency that does our external marketing (We only create the content, the person responsible for marketing who manages the page) and the activities carried out on the account were questioned

(Our statistics regarding views and likes are correct, however we noticed that the comments do not match the content!)

. We were informed that paid promotions (ads) were carried out for the respective pages and videos, but we noticed that there were comments that did not match our content. In this way, making it part of something we do not agree with. The quality of our content and the educational way we deal with the community does not change, however, as we do not support activities such as those highlighted, we chose to suspend the respective proposal. We will continue making videos about Polkadot, educating the community and bringing the best content as we always do. We will take all reasonable steps to identify the source of activities we do not recognize and remedy them. Our actions:

1- We will cancel the agency’s marketing service provision 2-We will suspend the promotion through paid promotions (ads) 3-We will pause the proposal to align with the correct and honest standards of the Polkadot community

We reaffirm our commitment and objective to foster the Portuguese-speaking community and continue to be the reference on @Polkadot in Brazil

Why portuguese speakers and Brazil?

According to new data released by the Federal Revenue Service, Brazil now has almost 10 million cryptocurrency investors, the highest number since the agency began receiving declarations of digital assets from individuals and brokers based in the country.

In the report for the month of April, the Revenue registered 1,996,165 CPFs (Brazilian individual taxpayer registry identification) involved in crypto transactions, 19.2% more than in March. The number of CNPJs (National Registry of Legal Entities) also increased: for the first time, it surpassed 65,000.

The growth occurred amid a broad recovery of Bitcoin in the first months of the year. Now, the digital currency rose strongly and briefly reached $30,000, almost a 100% increase compared to its worst moment in 2022, in November..

Context of the proposal:

Retroactive funding for 4 videos made between the periods of July 26th to August 19th, 2023, the amount requested for this small tip would be 250 DOT for the 4 videos, every 4 videos we intend to bring a retroactive request for delivery , with statistical and informative data.
